Olympus OMD EM5 Mark ii – Mirrorless Camera Test

So for some time I’ve been watching the progress of mirrorless cameras on the market, and more recently my contemporaries using them for weddings. With my scepticism and love for all gear Canon, I’ve not wanted to contemplate ever making the switch, but recently I purchased a base model to try on a recent holiday and see what all the fuss was about. I’m back from the trip and loved using the gear as it was light, gave me to same (similar) look in the images as my Prime lens Canon gear but without all the weight, was easy to use once I’d mastered the controls, and the fab wifi was great to shoot, pass to my iphone and edit on the fly without my MAC. I’m waiting for a new model to be released later this year with three new lenses that sound perfect for me for weddings, but in the mean time I’m just back from a walk with the pooches to show you the look of the images. Right up my street look wise and 1/4 of the weight of the canon. Watch this space!
